About

Phillip and Melissa are broken folks who are married to each other and Jesus.  This blog was started to help them stay in touch with friends and family while serving on a short term mission in Ecuador.  It is our hope that this blog will continue to be a space where we can record our lives and God’s faithfulness to us.

  1. Looks great: Melissa’s mom, Lainey, wanted to be sure that you knew: The recent earthquake in Peru has caused a scare of a sunami in Ecuador. However, this news is a couple days old, and you’re probably fine. We already miss you, but hope you have a great adventure. PS is this how we write to you? Love Dad

  2. Hello from Louisiana. I am new to this BLOG stuff and I hope I am leaving this message in the right place. Just loved the wonderful pictures, beautiful people, countryside, and cities. Most of all it is so special that you share with your loved ones, the experiences you are having.
Rest in the confidence that our most gracious Lord will have available the resources needed to do the work He has called you to do. The rough times are meant to smooth out the edges of who we are in Him. The fire is purifing, but joy and peace will always be in your heart. Paul sang in jail and others were saved. It came from his heart and not from what he thought he was supose to do. I see your heart and rejoice. You are a precious lady, Melissa and I am blessed to know you. Love Marsha

  3. Hey Kidz:

“broken folks who are married to each other and Jesus…

We’re doing a show on the World’s Religions . JESUS and CHRISTIAN values in the American South is a viewpoint we want to have aired.

You two LOOK like a coupla clean-cut “folks” (that “broken” thing has me MYSTIFIED:-)

Please let us know if you’re ready to be interviewed alongside our adoring public :-)
